NHS Choices for Military - Healthcare Information for the Forces and Veterans

The new NHS Choices for Military webpages have the following sections (links are embedded) which provide guidance and links covering accessing NHS services:

Changes to English Language Test Requirements for Citizenship, Settlement or Limited Leave - from November 2015

From November 2015, people who need to prove their English language ability for the purposes of Settlement, Nationality or Limited Leave will need to take a Home Office approved Secure English Language Test (SELT).

The Home Office will no longer accept other English Language qualifications after November.

The new system means that settlement and citizenship applicants need to take tests at approved test centres.

Further information on SELTs is available on the Applying for a UK Visa: Approved English Language Tests and at the Approved English Language Qualifications pages.

Anyone who has taken a previously approved test on or before 5 April 2015 may still use it in a UK immigration application until 5 November 2015 providing the test is one of those detailed in the transitional approved tests list.
