HM Forces Railcard for Personnel & Spouses

The HM Forces Railcard costs £15 and it'll save you 1/3 on most rail fares throughout Great Britain for a whole year. That works out to under £2 a month for huge savings. You're eligible if you're a member of the Regular Forces or a spouse of a member, for more details see eligibility.
There are plenty of ways you can use your Railcard, for both long and short trips. Better still you can use it anytime on weekends, Public Holidays and during the week. The only restriction is that if you travel before 10am Monday to Friday (except during July and August) a minimum fare will apply. For more details see minimum fares.
Your HM Forces Railcard will save you 1/3 on many tickets. As with most things in life, there are some exceptions, so take a look at the ticket types you can and can't make savings on with your HM Forces Railcard.

Combating Condensation

Take immediate action if you notice any condensation or mould:

Condensation is the water produced when warm moist air or steam meets a cold surface such as windows, walls or floors. You might think that you have leaking windows or damp, but condensation can often be a problem in new or newly refurbished houses – with draught free windows and efficient heating. To control condensation and any associated mould, sources of water vapour need to be reduced to a minimum, whilst establishing the right balance between heating and ventilation.

If you have taken all of the actions in the diagram below and you believe the issue is due to maintenance or the condition of the property, such as a damaged roof or guttering, please contact the CarillionAmey Helpdesk on 0800 707 6000.

Transition to civilian life

Click HERE to read

This guide covers resettlement, housing, leave, and pensions as well as the administrative procedures, for the smooth transition to Civilian Life.

The guide is written for those who are going to live in the UK.

If you are leaving the Army from the UK and returning to your country of origin you will need to ask about matters relating to that country.
Your Unit Welfare Officer (UWO) would be a good place to start seeking help and advice. This guide tells you about the ex-Service and civilian welfare agencies which are there to help you, if you wish, once you have left the Army.
It will also explain procedures for all Service Leavers (SL)
