NATIONAL STUDY ON SINGLE VETERANS AND HOUSING LOOKING FOR PARTICIPANTS

Would you like to take part in a major University of York study about housing and support for single veterans?

Researchers at the University of York would like to speak to 40 people about their experiences of housing and related support after leaving the British Armed Forces. They would like to hear from people who have:
-          recently left the Service (Army, Royal Navy or Air Force) or will be leaving soon AND  are currently single AND are finding it hard to find suitable accommodation and/or are homeless.

Taking part would involve talking to a researcher for about an hour over the telephone or in person. They are hoping to speak to participants a couple of times over the next two years.

The study has been commissioned by Stoll and Riverside Housing Associations, with funding from Forces in Mind. The study will make recommendations on how to improve housing and support services for single veterans in the future.

Participants selected for the study would receive £15 as a token of appreciation.

If you are interested, or would like more information, please contact the researchers on 01904 321480, via email to deborah.quilgars@york.ac.uk or write to:
